District Council of Loxton Waikerie

the Loxton Public Library.
You will be responsible for providing a high standard
of effective and efficient service to ensure excellent
customer outcomes for the Loxton residents. The
position reports directly to the Manager Library
Services - Loxton.
The position is offered as permanent part time at a
minimum of 19 hours per fortnight.
Previous experience as a Library Officer is preferable,
but not essential.

Based at our Lyrup facility, near Renmark in the Riverland of
South Australia, Almondco has a long tradition as a leader in
the almond industry. We process and market almonds for our
members with an enviable reputation in markets we supply.
Due to the pending retirement of a long-serving employee,
we are seeking to recruit a new member to our team. This role
will act as a key support for our production and finance team
at both Lyrup and Renmark.
This supporting role will cover a variety of production,
finance and administration tasks with further scope for
additional responsibility depending on the skills of the
successful applicant. To succeed in this role you will need to
have a good work ethic, be a team performer and have good
communication skills. Flexible working hours will be required
outside normal business hours.
Initially offered as a nine month seasonal position (January
to September), we see this role as a career development
opportunity within Almondco for the right candidate.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The South Australian Local Government Grants Commission
is a statutory authority responsible for advising the Minister
for State/Local Government Relations on the distribution of
Commonwealth Financial Assistance Grants to local govern-
ing authorities in South Australia.
These grants are untied and decisions on their expenditure
are the responsibility of individual councils.
For 2014-15, a sum of $153 million has been allocated to 74
councils/communities in the State.
The Commission does not provide funds for specific projects
Grants are provided under the Commonwealth Local Govern-
ment (Financial Assistance) Act, 1995. Under Section 11 of
this Act the Commission is required to hold public hearings
in connection with its recommendations. The purpose of
these hearings is to provide clarification of the Commission’s
operations and the opportunity for members of the public to
raise issues with the Commission.
The Commission will be visiting the District Council of
Loxton Waikerie at 3:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2014,
to hold discussions with elected members and staff, and with
any members of the public in attendance at the meeting.
Persons wishing to attend this public meeting are asked to
register their interest by 5:00 pm, Thursday, 11 December
2014 and provide either a written submission or an indica-
tion of the issues they wish to raise.
